The Barbados Association of Compliance Professional membership is open to practising, qualified professionals based in Barbados. Compliance Professionals ensure that companies and all staff comply with regulations.
In addition to adherence to policies and procedures whilst support risk management strategies.
Membership is open to Compliance Professionals who:
- Are employed in the industry – The industry is defined as any entity falling under the regulatory purview of the Central Bank of Barbados, the Financial Services Commission, the Financial Intelligence Unit and or the regulatory provisions of current Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Acts; OR
- Hold compliance qualifications, provide services to the compliance industry or otherwise having an interest in compliance may also join the association.
The Barbados Association of Compliance Professionals aims to promote the integrity of the island’s financial system by:
- Assisting companies to limit their exposure to compliance and associated risks; and
- Acting as an intermediary within the industry ensuring market players are appropriately engaged in striking a balance between regulartory conformance and business innovation.
